Purpose of the site
The site estimates the Income Tax, National Insurance, student loan repayments, Corporation Tax and dividend tax of self-employed people and company directors in the United Kingdom for the tax year 2026/27, and explains the related deadlines, including Making Tax Digital for Income Tax. It is independent and has no link with HM Revenue and Customs, the UK Government or the Scottish Government.
Not tax advice
Results are estimates from published rates and the assumptions stated on the method page. They are not personal tax, legal or financial advice and do not replace the calculation HMRC makes from your return, a status determination by a client or the advice of a qualified adviser.
Liability
Each rate is read on the official page cited with it and the engine is tested, without any guarantee that no error or later change remains. The publisher cannot be held liable for a decision, a payment, a penalty or a choice of business structure based only on this site. Errors can be reported on the contact page.
Intellectual property and reuse
Texts, graphics and code belong to the publisher. Rates and rules published on GOV.UK and legislation.gov.uk are public sector information reused under the Open Government Licence v3.0, with the source named on each page.
