Privacy policy

This policy covers https://soletradersums.co.uk. It follows Articles 12 to 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), which applies to the publisher established in France, and the UK GDPR for visitors in the United Kingdom.

1. Controller

Contact: contact@soletradersums.co.uk. No data protection officer is appointed: the conditions of Article 37 are not met.

2. What the calculators never collect

Your turnover, expenses, wages, dividends, student loan plan, day rate and every other figure are processed only in your browser, by code downloaded with the page. They are never sent to us or to anyone else. If you press "copy a link", the figures are written into the page address so that you can come back to them; that address only goes where you send it.

3. Processing that does take place

Hosting logs

The host records IP address, date and time, page requested, browser and referring page, for security and to keep the service running. Legal basis: legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)). Retention: under the host's policy.

Cookie-free stability monitoring

To find broken pages, the site may use Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, Dublin) without cookies: errors, loading times, clicks that lead nowhere and scrolling are measured per page view, with no cookie and no link between visits, page content and inputs masked. Microsoft receives the technical data of the request, including the IP address, keeps recordings for 30 days and aggregated data for up to 13 months. Legal basis: legitimate interest in a site that works (Article 6(1)(f)). You can object by blocking clarity.ms or by writing to us. There is no advertising profile.

Emails

If you write to us, your address and message are used to reply and kept for three years after the last exchange. Legal basis: legitimate interests. Please do not send tax identifiers.

4. Recipients and transfers

Nobody buys your data. The host, GitHub, Inc., acts as processor (Article 28) and is in the United States; log data may be processed there under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, its UK extension and standard contractual clauses. The same applies to stability data held by Microsoft Corporation.

5. Your rights

Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability (Articles 15 to 22): write to contact@soletradersums.co.uk; we answer within a month. You may complain to the Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés (CNIL) (https://www.cnil.fr) or, in the United Kingdom, to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

6. No automated decision

A result is produced at your request, from what you type, and has no legal effect on you (Article 22).
